This role is hybrid, based in Phoenix, Arizona, and requires at least five years of litigation experience. The position entails managing complex cases in a fast-paced environment, handling various legal proceedings, and contributing to trial activities.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage litigation cases in a fast-paced environment, particularly within the health care sector.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal pleadings, including Answers, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyze depositions, including those of expert witnesses.
  • Analyze and summarize discovery documents and deposition transcripts.
  • Participate in witness interviews and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients during court hearings, oral arguments, and trials.
  • Prepare motions in limine, assist with witness preparation, and manage direct and cross-examinations.
  • Travel as needed for depositions, court hearings, and client meetings both within Arizona and out of state.
  • Collaborate with supervising attorneys to complete case-related tasks.
  • Manage deadlines, due dates, and follow up on pending matters proactively.
  • Respond professionally to client inquiries, emails, and phone calls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of billable time in the firm's billing software.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of litigation experience, ideally within the health care sector.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with case strategy, legal drafting, and courtroom presentations.
  • Willingness to travel for depositions and court hearings as required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Arizona Bar license is required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in word-processing software and legal research tools.
