Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join its High-Skilled Immigration team. This role involves providing legal support to clients across various industries, including technology, engineering, and biosciences, in navigating immigrant work visa processes. 

Location:

  • Ann Arbor, MI

Duties:

  • Work closely with clients to develop and implement legal strategies for immigrant work visa matters (e.g., EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 NIW, and O-1 visas).
  • Conduct client consultations to explain the immigrant visa application process, gather required supporting documentation, and provide legal advice.
  • Prepare and file immigrant work visa applications with relevant government agencies in collaboration with attorneys and case managers.
  • Respond to Requests for Evidence from government agencies.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to work visas and keep up with the latest immigration law updates.
  • Provide clients with clear and concise explanations of application steps, timelines, and costs.
  • Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload while ensuring compliance with legal deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in a U.S. State Bar.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict legal deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a client-friendly manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Emotional intelligence and empathy in dealing with client concerns and needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of attorneys and case managers.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in any U.S. State.

Skills:

  • Expertise in U.S. immigration law, particularly in high-skilled immigration matters.
  • Strong problem-solving and legal research skills.
  • Ability to provide proactive and responsive client service.
