A law firm in San Diego is seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with at least 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in employment litigation, possess a strong understanding of State and Federal fair employment laws, wage-hour laws, FMLA, and related regulations. They should be capable of handling employment matters independently, from case initiation through trial preparation.

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation matters before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Advise clients on employment-related legal issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and employment agreements.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation cases.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
