A law firm seeks an experienced estate planning attorney to join its team in Omaha, Nebraska. Duties:

  • Legal Counsel: Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning strategies, including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents.
  • Trust and Estate Administration: Support clients in the administration of trusts and estates, including probate proceedings and fiduciary representation for complex trust structures.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with clients’ financial and tax advisors to develop personalized estate plans that address personal, financial, and tax objectives.
  • Representation: Represent clients in probate court and other legal matters related to trust and estate administration.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to estate and gift tax laws and provide guidance on tax-efficient planning strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term client relationships by managing complex estate planning and administration matters.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8–10 years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related areas.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations impacting estate and gift planning, particularly for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work efficiently.
  • Client-focused: Demonstrated ability to provide responsive and client-centered legal services.
  • Collaborative Skills: Capable of working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts concisely.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Nebraska or eligible for licensure.
