The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with creating customized estate plans that align with their personal needs and wishes. This position involves working closely with clients to draft and review essential legal documents while providing insightful guidance on the complexities of estate planning and asset management.

Duties:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their estate planning goals and objectives
• Draft, review, and finalize various estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
• Provide expert advice on tax implications, asset protection strategies, and other legal considerations tied to estate planning
• Offer guidance on probate and trust administration matters
• Ensure up-to-date knowledge of changes in estate planning laws and regulations
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on maintaining and protecting their assets for future generations
• Participate in the preparation of advanced estate planning techniques, such as asset protection and business succession planning

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in estate planning law
• Strong knowledge of estate planning, probate, and trust administration
• Proven ability to draft complex estate planning documents
• Familiarity with tax law and asset protection strategies
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centered approach

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Illinois required
