A law firm in Columbia, SC, is seeking a dedicated General Liability Defense Attorney to join their team. The role involves handling a variety of litigation matters with a focus on defending clients in general liability cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including initial case assessment, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
  • Develop and execute case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client service.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing in South Carolina.
  • Must have experience practicing law with a strong background in general liability defense.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
