A law firm seeks an experienced and driven Litigation Partner to join its team in Florida. This remote position is ideal for a seasoned attorney with over six years of experience in complex first-party property defense matters. The successful candidate will work on behalf of both admitted and surplus line carriers, managing intricate defense cases with a high level of autonomy. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong work ethic, exceptional analytical abilities, and a passion for tackling challenging legal issues.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate complex first-party property defense matters for both admitted and surplus line carriers.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies to efficiently handle and resolve cases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure comprehensive and effective defense strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, during depositions, and in settlement negotiations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting property defense matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, particularly in first-party property defense.
  • Strong track record in managing complex legal matters and cases.
  • Experience working with both admitted and surplus line carriers.
  • Proven ability to handle a high volume of cases independently.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth understanding of first-party property defense litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex legal cases.
