Mid-level Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly qualified Mid-level Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in restructuring, with a focus on corporate debt restructurings. This role offers the opportunity to work on various complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and tactics.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and document review.
• Draft and negotiate legal documents, including bankruptcy plans, contracts, and agreements.
• Appear in court and administrative proceedings on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Manage and oversee junior associates and legal staff as needed.
• Stay current on bankruptcy laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of relevant restructuring work experience, focusing on corporate debt restructurings.
• Strong academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• Familiarity with both in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:
