A law firm in Houston is seeking a skilled Junior/Mid-Level Finance Associate Attorney with experience representing commercial banks, private credit lenders, private equity firms, corporate borrowers, and investors in various debt financing and hybrid investment transactions. The ideal candidate should possess 2-6 years of relevant experience.

 

Duties:

  • Represent commercial banks, private credit lenders, private equity firms, corporate borrowers, and investors in debt financing and hybrid investment transactions.
  • Negotiate, draft, and review various financing documents, including senior-secured loans, junior-secured loans, mezzanine loans, acquisition financings, and other structured financings and investments.
  • Provide legal advice and support on complex financing transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews of financing transactions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals on finance-related matters.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of financing strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 2-6 years of experience in finance transactions, preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of finance and lending practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Experience representing a variety of clients in financing transactions.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

 

Skills:
