Job Overview:
A well-regarded boutique law firm in San Diego is seeking an experienced Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Attorney to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate. While knowledge in Elder and Special Needs law is a plus, the firm will train the right candidate in these areas. This position offers a supportive, team-oriented environment with an emphasis on exceptional client service and professional growth.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation for clients in estate planning, trust, and probate matters
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
  • Assist clients with navigating the probate process and trust administration
  • Collaborate with the firm’s team to ensure the effective delivery of legal services
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other proceedings related to trusts and estates
  • Stay up-to-date with legal developments and changes in estate planning, trust, and probate law
  • Support senior attorneys in complex trust and probate matters as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues in trust administration and probate
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in Elder and Special Needs law is a plus, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Client-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in California (or eligibility to obtain membership promptly)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents related to estate planning, trust administration, and probate
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent client communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
