Entry Level Immigration Attorney

Location

Duties

• Provide legal counsel and explain immigration processes to clients

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct client intakes, including visits to detention centers

• Prepare and file a wide range of immigration applications including family-based petitions and removal defense

• Review and revise immigration application packets as needed

• Collaborate with community organizations, law enforcement, and prosecutorial offices on immigration law matters

• Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients and determine appropriate legal strategies

• Prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony

• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

• Manage a personal caseload and maintain strong client communication

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in immigration law

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

• Proven ability to manage and progress legal cases

• Experience with case management software is a plus

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
