Associate Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

Location:

Duties:

• Provide legal support to clients and assist senior partners
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
• Stay updated on legal developments in relevant practice areas
• Engage in business development and client acquisition efforts
• Prepare for and attend various hearings related to law and motion practice
• Review and prepare client documents for discovery
• Negotiate and revise contract terms
• Prepare outlines for witness depositions or trial testimony
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of general litigation and/or transactional experience
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• Strong research and oral advocacy skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
• Experience drafting various pleadings and motions, including motions for preliminary and final approval
• Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Westlaw

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school (preferred)

• California Bar License (Required)
