Mid-Level/Senior Labor and Employment Class Action Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking a mid to senior level Associate to join its Labor and Employment group in San Francisco. This role involves supporting the California practice with a focus on employment litigation and wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in employment litigation, a strong interest in trial work, and a background in transactional employment matters.

Duties

• Defend wage and hour claims, including wage and hour class action lawsuits
• Conduct employment litigation, including witness interviews, depositions, and trial preparation
• Draft employment and severance agreements, EEOC position statements, and DFEH responses
• Advise clients on federal and state employment law compliance and draft workplace policies
• Support clients with employment training programs and compliance counseling
• Potential involvement in traditional management labor relations

Requirements

• 3-5 years of substantive experience in employment litigation
• Strong interest and aptitude for trial work
• Background in counseling employers on employment law compliance and policy development is a plus
• Familiarity with traditional management labor relations is advantageous

Education

• Law degree (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Admission to the California Bar is required
