Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Charleston, WV, is looking for a talented Associate Attorney to join their team. This position will involve providing legal services in labor and employment law matters, with a focus on litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, research, and writing abilities, and have a passion for delivering high-quality legal counsel in this specialized field.

Duties:

• Represent clients in labor and employment disputes, including administrative hearings and court proceedings.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and other filings.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide expert advice to clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex case preparation and strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
• Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

• Active State Bar Membership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Previous experience in labor and employment law or litigation preferred.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to client service.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school is preferred.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the West Virginia State Bar (or eligibility to join the State Bar).
