A respected legal practice is seeking an accomplished Senior Associate Attorney or Partner to join its team. This role is designed for a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in trial litigation, particularly in family law. The ideal candidate will be prepared to manage a high-volume caseload and advocate for clients in complex legal disputes. With a hybrid work structure available—three days in-office and two remote—this position offers flexibility while ensuring active engagement in case strategy and litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and independently manage a caseload of 30-40 active cases, ensuring thorough preparation and strategic execution for each.

  • Lead courtroom proceedings, including divorce trials and high-stakes litigation, while delivering strong legal representation.

  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.

  • Provide insightful legal counsel to clients, outlining strategies, risks, and potential outcomes with clarity and professionalism.

  • Engage in negotiations and mediation, working toward favorable resolutions while protecting client interests.

  • Stay up to date with legal precedents, evolving case law, and procedural requirements in family law.

  • Collaborate with legal colleagues and support staff to refine case approaches and maximize successful outcomes.

  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the overall professional development of the legal team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of legal experience, with a substantial focus on family law litigation.

  • Proven track record of handling complex divorce trials and high-conflict legal matters.

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey, with a strong reputation for ethical practice and courtroom success.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

  • Exceptional litigation skills, including persuasive argumentation, cross-examination proficiency, and trial strategy development.

  • Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capability to navigate intricate legal issues and craft compelling legal arguments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.

  • Leadership qualities, with experience mentoring junior attorneys or contributing to a firm’s growth.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar, in good standing.
