  • Appear in various legal forums, including Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, USCIS, ICE, CBP, and federal courts.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on complex immigration cases and litigation.
  • Engage in pro bono litigation and advocacy efforts to advance immigrants' rights.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal briefs.
  • Represent clients in both district and appellate courts, advocating for favorable outcomes.
  • Work on cases involving the intersection of criminal and immigration law.
  • Maintain regular in-person collaboration with colleagues in a hybrid work environment.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience as an immigration attorney.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Experience handling complex immigration cases, including deportation defense.
  • Bilingual ability required (Spanish strongly preferred; other languages considered).
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, energetic environment focused on immigrant rights and civil rights advocacy.
  • Admission to a State Bar (California preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in a State Bar (California Bar preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a high-pressure environment.
