Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Litigation Services Attorney to provide comprehensive support to its litigation teams. The role involves conducting judicial research, overseeing calendaring functions, performing court services, preparing procedural roadmaps, and demonstrating advanced knowledge of court rules and procedures.

Duties:

  • Conducting judicial research to develop profiles and analytics on specific judges, including reviewing transcripts
  • Overseeing and performing calendaring functions, maintaining a calendar of litigation deadlines, and communicating deadlines to firm-wide litigation teams
  • Overseeing and performing court services functions, including researching and retrieving court documents, reviewing and filing client and firm court documents, processing daily litigation mail, and coordinating process servers
  • Preparing roadmaps to guide attorneys through procedural and logistical elements of complex court filings, highlighting strategic opportunities based on judicial preferences
  • Demonstrating advanced knowledge of applicable court rules and procedures and applying them efficiently across multiple jurisdictions to ensure risk management
  • Articulating complex court rules and calendaring issues in a comprehensible, accurate, confident, and concise manner
  • Displaying analytical skills to comprehend and convey complex legal principles effectively

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Current Bar Admission
  • 2 years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney and/or attorney in a Docket/Calendar/Litigation Services environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Current Bar Admission
