Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers an opportunity to provide strategic legal counsel, represent clients in complex immigration matters, and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Duties:

  • Provide expert guidance on immigration concepts and develop strategic legal solutions.
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage an active caseload of diverse immigration matters.
  • Conduct intake and interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare and file various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense cases.
  • Review and revise immigration application packets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to assess case strategies.
  • Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
  • Provide legal analysis to evaluate case benefits and options for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward efficiently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Experience handling family-based petitions, humanitarian applications, EOIR cases, citizenship applications, and detained matters.
  • Proficiency in case management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar and in good standing.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership is required.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
