Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on trust and estate planning strategies, including wealth transfer and tax planning.
  • Handle the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents related to estate planning, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Develop and implement wealth transfer strategies, including gift transfers and charitable planning.
  • Provide expert counsel on complex tax issues related to estate and gift tax.
  • Conduct client meetings to discuss and review estate planning goals and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, financial advisors, and professionals to deliver comprehensive client services.
  • Maintain and build strong, long-term relationships with clients through outstanding service and communication.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions and case management.
  • Stay updated on changes in estate and tax laws to provide accurate and relevant advice.

Requirements:

  • Experience in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Strong drafting skills and experience in preparing estate planning documents.
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with high-net-worth clients and build long-term relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility to waive in.
