Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is currently seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its Brentwood, TN office. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 1-3 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation or Insurance Defense. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and research skills and be capable of managing a caseload efficiently through the litigation process. You will be responsible for communicating with clients, preparing legal documents, and adhering to deadlines set by both the court and clients.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate workers’ compensation and insurance defense cases from inception to resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials when necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and manage expectations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure timely case progression.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in workers’ compensation or insurance defense.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Tennessee is required.
