Duties:

  • Collaborate with renowned clients to identify and understand innovative technologies and inventions.
  • Draft and prepare high-quality electronic and software-related patent applications.
  • Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO, including responding to office actions and conducting examiner interviews.
  • Conduct thorough prior art searches and patentability assessments.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters, patent portfolio management, and patent strategy.
  • Analyze and evaluate patent infringement and validity issues.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and changes in patent laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related science with a strong knowledge of computer systems or machine learning.
  • 2-5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution is preferred.
  • Admitted to practice before the USPTO.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related science.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice before the USPTO.
