Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis to develop creative and effective litigation strategies
• Draft and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, contracts, and client correspondence
• Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, from initial filing to appeals, with support from senior attorneys
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues to move cases forward and provide clear legal guidance
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and team members to ensure comprehensive case preparation and strategy development
• Stay current on changes to relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends to identify opportunities and risks for clients
• Assist with select transactional matters, such as business formation, counseling, and trademark filings, when needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on civil litigation experience, with demonstrated ability to manage cases independently
• Strong legal research and analytical skills, with a creative approach to problem-solving
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to explain complex legal issues to clients in clear, accessible language
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to a collaborative team culture
• Interest or experience in law enforcement defense is a plus, but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and good-standing membership with the California State Bar (required)
