Job Title: Utility and Energy Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking a qualified attorney to join its Utility and Energy practice group. This role requires expertise in representing public utilities and energy companies in regulatory and related proceedings. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing and administrative hearing skills, a solid understanding of utility regulations, and the ability to handle matters before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission or similar entities.

Duties:

  • Represent public utilities and energy companies in regulatory proceedings and related matters.
  • Guide regulatory approvals with state public utility commissions and other regulatory agencies.
  • Handle utility- and energy-related litigation, enforcement actions, and transactional work.
  • Prepare and present cases in administrative hearings effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to develop legal strategies and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-8 years of experience in utility and energy law.
  • Proven experience practicing before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission or equivalent state utility commissions.
  • Strong legal writing and administrative hearing skills.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania Bar admission in good standing.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of utility and energy regulations.
