Associate Attorney Complex Commercial Litigation

A law firm seeks a skilled associate attorney with at least 3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation to join its San Francisco office. Key Duties

• Handle complex commercial litigation cases, from pre-trial motions to trial preparation and presentation.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients in various industries.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with precision and clarity.
• Engage in research and writing to support litigation strategies and case development.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials to manage case progress and resolve issues.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop and execute litigation strategies.
• Maintain excellent client relationships and professionally represent the firm.

Position Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on complex legal matters.
• Previous judicial clerkship experience is highly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on legal research and writing.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• CA Bar membership is preferred, but out-of-state candidates eligible for California licensure will also be considered.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Exceptional academic credentials, including Law Review or similar honors, are preferred.

Certifications

• Admitted to the State Bar of California, or eligible for admission.
