Associate Attorney Consumer Warranty Litigation Defense

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its expanding litigation team in Los Angeles, California. This position is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for candidates who have worked on consumer warranty defense. The attorney will work alongside experienced professionals to represent clients through all stages of litigation, from initial motions to trial preparation. Duties:

• Draft and prepare various legal documents, including motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Defend clients by conducting depositions and participating in settlement negotiations.
• Negotiate and prepare settlement agreements for clients.
• Attend court hearings and manage legal proceedings.
• Participate in meet and confer sessions with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
• Assist in developing trial strategies and preparing for trial.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and motions.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with consumer warranty defense experience a plus.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases with successful outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
