Entry-level Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking an Entry-level Immigration Attorney to join their dedicated Immigration Team. This role involves managing caseloads, interacting with clients, and collaborating closely with attorneys and legal assistants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in immigration law, possess solid analytical skills, and be ready to contribute to the firm's mission of providing exceptional legal services.

Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts and develop strategic solutions tailored to client needs.
• Represent both non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases with guidance from senior attorneys.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and revise immigration applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates and changes.
• Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine appropriate legal strategies.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
• Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits and strategies for client cases.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar admission in California or pending (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered).
• Demonstrated interest in immigration law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in California or pending.
