Job Title: Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Berwyn, PA, is actively seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join their highly regarded litigation team. The firm specializes in handling complex insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes, offering significant exposure to high-stakes matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance law, including professional liability, general liability, and directors & officers policies, as well as experience in civil litigation and case management.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including discovery motions and responses.
  • Take and defend depositions, with appropriate experience.
  • Attend and represent clients at court hearings, motions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Independently manage caseloads and maintain client relationships.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and client management.
  • Provide strategic insights on complex insurance claims and coverage issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to team efforts on high-exposure matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • In-depth knowledge of professional liability, general liability, and directors & officers insurance policies.
  • Solid litigation experience, including drafting motions, handling discovery, and participating in depositions and court appearances.
  • Proven ability to independently manage cases and work directly with clients.
  • Business development experience and a client-focused mindset are advantageous.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (or eligible for admission).
