Duties:

  • Prepare for and execute court calls for consumer and commercial debt collection matters.
  • Handle motions, contested hearings, arbitrations, and trials related to debt collection.
  • Draft, review, and approve legal pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and post-judgment supplemental proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Michigan.
  • Law license in Kentucky, Indiana, and/or Ohio is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in Michigan.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation, legal research, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with consumer and commercial debt collection is a plus.
