A law firm in Lubbock, TX, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to manage a high-volume workload and provide exceptional legal services. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of legal experience, though newly licensed attorneys will also be considered. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for communicating with clients and stakeholders, managing court appearances, and attending various legal events.

Duties:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate daily with clients, taxpayers, staff, and other stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Draft, review, and respond to legal documents in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines.
  • Prepare for and attend weekly court hearings and trials in Lubbock County and surrounding counties.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Attend local evening and weekend events, as well as statewide conferences, to support firm activities and professional development.
  • Handle various administrative tasks and collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • Preferably 3+ years of legal experience; newly licensed attorneys will be considered.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to draft and review legal documents accurately.
  • Experience preparing for and attending court hearings and trials.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Willingness to attend local events and statewide conferences as needed.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
