Duties:

  • Manage various phases of civil litigation, including initial filings, discovery, pretrial motions, trial preparation, and appeals

  • Draft substantive legal documents, including memoranda, pleadings, and dispositive motions

  • Led and coordinated discovery efforts, including depositions, document production, and written discovery

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis of case law, statutes, and regulations

  • Interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and subject matter experts

  • Participate in case strategy development and contribute to team-based problem-solving

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation, including exposure to insurance-related matters

  • Demonstrated case-handling skills appropriate for experience level, including client engagement and adversary communication

  • Strong oral and written advocacy abilities

  • Familiarity with deposition practice and courtroom procedures preferred

  • Active license to practice law in the State of California and in good standing

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar (mandatory)
