Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Investment Funds group. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile matters, including the formation and investment strategies of private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, strong academic credentials, and the ability to manage complex investment fund-related issues. The position is available for multiple office locations with a hybrid work model, offering flexibility for remote work.

Location:

  • New York City, NY

Duties:

  • Advise clients on the formation of private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Assist with structuring and executing secondary transactions and carry vehicles.
  • Work on structuring separately managed accounts.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to investment funds.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategic planning and legal execution.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and client presentations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment funds law.
  • Expertise in private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Experience with secondary transactions and structuring carry vehicles preferred.
  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 firm is highly desirable.
  • Strong client-facing experience and ability to manage client relationships.
  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the jurisdiction of employment.
