Job Overview: A law firm in Jefferson City, MO, is seeking a skilled and experienced Life Sciences Intellectual Property Attorney to manage complex legal matters related to life sciences intellectual property. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Simultaneously handle high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression.
  • Manage cases from inception to conclusion with attention to detail and strategic insight.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Produce quality legal work and meet billable hour requirements to ensure excellent client service.
  • Assist in generating business through individual and group efforts.
  • Comply with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a life sciences discipline is preferred.
  • Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in Missouri (MO).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or clerking.
  • 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm is preferred.
