Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Associate, Senior Attorney, or Of Counsel to join its corporate law practice in Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience and expertise in corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, private equity, and financing. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work on complex transactions, collaborate with senior leadership, and support clients on high-profile deals.

Duties

  • Support the firm’s Delaware office while being based in Salt Lake City
  • Work on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings, strategic partnerships, financing, complex lending transactions, and cross-border transactions
  • Advise on general corporate and alternative entity matters
  • Perform contract reviews, corporate governance, and render legal opinions
  • Research and analyze transactional situations
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • Interact with business clients, owners, executives, opposing counsel, and firm colleagues

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Minimum of five years of corporate law experience, with significant M&A experience
  • Experience in a large law firm’s business/corporate group
  • Admission to the Delaware Bar or the ability to become admitted
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent academic credentials

Education

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Delaware Bar admission or eligibility for Delaware Bar admission
