Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join its Professional Liability Department. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to medical malpractice litigation and strong advocacy skills. Duties

• Assist in the defense of healthcare professionals and institutions in medical malpractice cases

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda

• Participate in depositions, court appearances, and client meetings

• Conduct legal research and case strategy analysis

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation and case management

• Support the development of litigation strategies based on client needs and case facts

Requirements

• 1–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or professional liability

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

• Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania

• Admission in New Jersey is preferred but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus
