A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of expertise in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The role demands exceptional academic credentials and demonstrated excellence in research and writing.

Duties:

  • Analyze and interpret insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies to handle complex insurance disputes and litigation matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case development and strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to negotiate and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and stay informed about legal developments and industry trends impacting insurance and reinsurance law.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, particularly in professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
  • Proven track record in handling complex litigation cases and achieving favorable outcomes.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar or eligibility to practice law in Georgia.
