Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Hollywood, FL is actively seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with a dynamic group of legal professionals. The role involves handling complex litigation cases, including personal injury, commercial, and landlord-tenant matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of litigation experience and a demonstrated ability to manage cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload from start to finish, including case strategy, preparation, and trial support.
• Represent clients in both simple and complex hearings, providing compelling arguments on relevant legal issues.
• Take and defend depositions, including those of parties and experts.
• Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations with clients and opposing counsel.
• Regularly update clients on case developments and provide strategic recommendations.
• Attend and assist in both jury and non-jury trials.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in litigation, particularly in civil matters such as personal injury, commercial, and landlord-tenant disputes.
• Ability to handle a full caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills (experience with Westlaw is preferred).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Self-starter with the initiative to take on tasks and drive them to completion.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar License in Florida.
