Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting litigation documents, managing complex cases, and providing strategic legal advice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Effectively communicating, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and replying to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Providing timely, accurate, and high-quality work product.
• Successfully meeting deadlines and expectations and performing work duties as required.
• Fostering positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
• Complying with all firm policies and practices.
• Engaging in both physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Performing all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney.
• Experience drafting litigation documents such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Research and problem-solving skills with conceptual thinking ability.
• Ability to influence others through persuasive communication.
• Management and strong project management skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar is required.
