A reputable family law firm based in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. Duties

  • Manage a personal caseload with support from administrative and legal staff

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, kinship guardianship, and post-decree modifications

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

  • Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and other proceedings

  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients regarding case status and legal options

  • Prioritize deadlines, court dates, and case milestones

  • Collaborate respectfully with attorneys and staff in a team-based environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in legal practice preferred (training available for new graduates)

  • Demonstrated interest in practicing family law

  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

  • Strong client service orientation and ability to manage expectations

  • Professional judgment and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to a collaborative and respectful workplace

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications
