IP Litigation Associate Attorney (1-3 years)

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Kansas City, MO, is currently seeking an associate to join its expanding Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation practice group. The firm offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with at least 1 year of experience in patent litigation. The associate will engage in a wide range of IP disputes, working with clients across regional, national, and international platforms.

Duties:

• Represent clients in IP litigation, including patent disputes.
• Assist in preparing legal briefs, motions, and other documents related to IP litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis of complex IP issues.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to strategize case approaches and participate in trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients regarding case updates, legal strategies, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure successful outcomes in IP-related legal matters.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including training sessions and mentorship.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in patent litigation.
• Active state bar license in good standing.
• Strong academic background with excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues and collaborate in a team environment.
• Exceptional client service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership in MO.
