Job Overview

A reputable immigration law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to support its growing practice in family-based and employment-based immigration matters. This role is ideal for legal professionals early in their careers who are passionate about immigration law and eager to work in a collaborative, client-centered environment. Spanish language proficiency and a commitment to professional growth are strongly preferred. A hybrid work schedule is available.

Location

Duties

  • Manage family-based immigration cases including adjustment of status and naturalization applications

  • Handle removal defense and waiver cases under supervision of senior attorneys

  • Prepare and file humanitarian-based applications such as asylum, VAWA, U visa, TPS, and DACA

  • Draft and file non-immigrant visa petitions (E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-2B, L-1, O-1, P-1, Q-1, R-1, TN) and port of entry support packages

  • Prepare Temporary and Permanent Labor Certification applications with the Department of Labor

  • File employment-based permanent residency applications

  • Conduct client consultations and manage ongoing communication with clients

  • Attend meetings with prospective clients under the supervision of senior attorneys

  • Participate in consular processing of immigrant visa applications

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience practicing immigration law

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and case management abilities

  • Flexible, patient, and collaborative team player with an eagerness to learn

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

  • Member in good standing with respective State Bar

Skills

  • Proficiency in Spanish (required)

  • Knowledge of U.S. immigration law and USCIS/DOL procedures

  • Experience using legal case management software

  • Attention to detail in preparing applications and legal filings

  • Ability to conduct client consultations with professionalism and empathy
