A law firm seeks a qualified Associate Attorney to join its team in Charlotte, NC, specializing in real estate and creditors' rights. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an attorney eager to contribute to a dynamic practice while making a meaningful impact in the legal field.

Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload within creditors' rights, ensuring effective representation and timely resolution of cases.
  • Draft and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Engage in discovery practices and conduct depositions, effectively addressing and resolving conflicts.
  • Represent clients in court, advocating for their interests across various legal matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement strategic case plans that enhance the firm’s reputation.
  • Foster and maintain relationships within the legal community to build trust and credibility with clients.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations, including TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code, to provide sound legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Must be an active member in good standing with the Missouri State Bar and licensed (or able to obtain licensure quickly) in the Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • Preference for candidates with 5+ years of litigation experience; applications from newly licensed attorneys are encouraged.
  • Familiarity with the Missouri legal system and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses in other jurisdictions are a plus.
