Duties:

  • Represent clients in real estate litigation, focusing on matters such as property restrictions, construction defects, and contract disputes.
  • Engage in significant client interaction, providing regular updates and legal counsel.
  • Participate in public speaking opportunities and represent clients at corporate meetings.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, answers, and discovery requests.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, from trial preparation to conducting trials, depositions, and appellate work.
  • Manage a high caseload and coordinate administrative staff to ensure case deadlines are met.
  • Advise clients on case status, strategy, and next steps.
  • Work closely with the team to maintain an organized electronic task list and billing system.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in Wisconsin.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in civil litigation matters.
  • Proven ability to handle diverse real estate and property-related cases independently.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems and legal software.
  • Ability to manage evening and weekend client meetings as needed.
  • Strong personal and professional skills, with an emphasis on client relations.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Wisconsin.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills, including experience in drafting legal documents, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage high caseloads and coordinate administrative tasks.
  • Proficiency in legal technology and case management software.
