Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough workplace investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports.

  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and other legal documents.
  • Stay current with changes in education law and public sector regulations and incorporate this knowledge into legal strategies and advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to develop case strategies and ensure comprehensive legal representation.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on legal topics related to education law and workplace investigations.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal proceedings, case files, and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting workplace investigations.
  • Experience in public sector law or labor/employment law.
  • Admitted to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong background in education law preferred.
  • Title IX experience is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
