Position Title: Senior Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join our team. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal solutions in immigration law, and collaborating with a team of dedicated legal professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in immigration law, excellent client interaction skills, and a commitment to achieving outstanding results for clients.

Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration processes and present tailored strategies to clients.
• Represent individuals in immigration court, including both detained and non-detained cases, as well as before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases, ensuring thorough case preparation and timely progress.
• Conduct intake and client consultations for detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including those related to removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review, adjust, and finalize immigration applications and packets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on evolving immigration laws.
• Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients, evaluating options and developing a clear legal strategy.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
• Submit comprehensive legal briefs for diverse immigration cases.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Proven ability to manage and advance a caseload independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a record of collaborative work with colleagues.
• Preferred but not required: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR proceedings, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of California.

Certifications:

• State Bar license in California.
