Duties:

  • Handle defense cases involving insurance bad faith, fraud, and civil litigation.
  • Conduct discovery, including taking depositions and preparing interrogatories and document requests.
  • Prepare and argue motions in both state and federal courts.
  • Assist in trial preparation and represent clients at trial when necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop defense strategies.
  • Manage case files independently, ensuring all legal deadlines are met.
  • Maintain communication with clients to provide updates on case developments and legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation defense experience.
  • Prior experience or interest in handling insurance bad faith, fraud, and SIU claims.
  • Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar is required.
