The firm’s practice spans a variety of areas, including regulatory compliance, appeals, accounts receivable/collections, and more. This role involves direct client communication, transactional work, and litigation in both administrative and judicial settings. The successful candidate will focus initially on accounts receivable/collections while gaining exposure to other practice areas and the highly regulated long-term care industry.

Duties:

  • Provide legal services for clients in the long-term care industry, including transactional work and litigation.
  • Handle accounts receivable/collections matters, with opportunities to work on additional practice areas.
  • Represent clients in administrative and judicial settings.
  • Communicate directly with clients, addressing their legal needs and concerns.
  • Manage caseloads, ensuring timely and effective resolution of legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide written opinions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of law firm experience.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Interest in working with clients in the long-term care industry.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work under deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Minnesota (Required).
