A law firm seeks a Junior Real Estate Associate to join its Boston office. This position is ideal for a candidate with 1-4 years of experience in general real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture structures, and financing deals. The firm is looking for candidates with a strong academic background from nationally recognized law schools and previous experience at a mid to large-sized law firm. This role provides a great opportunity for a motivated attorney to grow their expertise in real estate law within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Duties:

  • Transactional Work:

    • Draft and review purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and financing documents related to real estate transactions.
    • Assist in structuring and negotiating deals for property acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
  • Client Interaction:

    • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide legal advice on real estate transactions.
    • Manage and maintain client relationships through clear and consistent communication.
  • Legal Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on real estate matters.
    • Analyze complex real estate issues and offer practical solutions for clients.
  • Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with senior attorneys on large and complex transactions.
    • Work independently on smaller matters and transactions while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and client service.
  • Document Preparation and Review:

    • Draft, review, and revise legal documents related to real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • At least 1 year of experience in transactional law, with a focus on real estate.
    • Previous experience with purchase and sale agreements, joint ventures, and financing transactions is preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex documents.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
    • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team setting and independently when required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
