Job Overview:

A San Antonio, TX law firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Intake Associate Attorney. This role involves managing the initial intake of new clients, analyzing legal issues, and developing assigned matters through various stages of litigation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for demand review, negotiations, initial litigation processes, resolution of matters, and disbursement of client funds.

Job Details:

  • Client Intake:

    • Conduct thorough intake interviews with potential new clients.
    • Evaluate the viability of new cases and sign up new clients.
    • Gather and organize all necessary documentation and evidence for new cases.
  • Case Development:

    • Analyze and develop legal strategies for assigned cases.
    • Conduct legal research and prepare case files.
    • Draft and file initial pleadings and motions.
  • Demand Review & Negotiations:

    • Review and prepare demand packages.
    • Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties.
  • Litigation & Resolution:

    • Manage initial litigation activities, including discovery and pre-trial preparation.
    • Participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
    • Work towards the resolution of cases through settlement or trial.
    • Oversee the disbursement of client funds following case resolution.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Personal Injury law.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Skills:
