Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 4 to 6 years of substantial international legal experience to join its Salt Lake City, UT office. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a firm known for its dedicated international practice group. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials and a background in international law, along with a commitment to ethical practice and client service.

Duties

• Provide legal counsel on international law matters, including corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Draft and review transactional documents to facilitate various international agreements.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues on complex legal issues in a global context.
• Engage in legal research and analysis to support client needs and enhance practice capabilities.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical practice in all interactions.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in international law, ideally gained from a recognized international law firm, major multinational corporation, or similar entity.
• High academic performance and exceptional analytical and writing skills.
• Experience with drafting transactional documents; familiarity with corporate and securities law is a plus.
• Prior experience living or working overseas is highly desirable.
• Fluency in a second language, such as Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Swahili, Hindi, or Tagalog, is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be a member of the Utah Bar or willing to take the Utah Bar exam.
• If not currently a member of the Utah Bar, candidates must hold a valid attorney license in good standing from another U.S. state.
