Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This position focuses on employment litigation, specifically within wage and hour class action cases. The role requires involvement in significant court appearances, motion practices, and depositions, as well as the drafting of legal pleadings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly under a senior partner, while also managing their cases with appropriate guidance.

Duties:

• Handle significant court appearances related to employment litigation matters.
• Lead discovery processes and manage law and motion practices.
• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other related documents.
• Defend depositions and interact with opposing counsel for case development.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys while independently managing assigned cases.
• Communicate proactively with clients and defense counsel through calls and correspondence.
• Maintain organization and attention to detail while managing multiple cases under tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• An active member of the California State Bar.
• At least 2 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on employment law being a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A detail-oriented and proactive approach to legal practice.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• California State Bar Admission (Required).

Skills:

• Proficiency in civil litigation and court appearances.
• Experience drafting legal pleadings and motions.
• Strong legal research and writing capabilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
